When one is stressed, he stays in some imagery in his mind in which he thinks, supposes, talks, winds things even more up than they actually are, predicts not always the best outcome based on the prior experience/knowledge. In such cases, take a piece of paper and start writing about your joys. Even if you are totally not in the mood, when you start writing: "I am joy", "I enjoy cup of tea", "I am joyous when I meet my loved ones", "I am joyous when I see little children, cats, dogs, birds, flowers, when I am traveling, when I am learning new and exciting..." and so on. When you start writing this, you concentrate your attention in such moments. And in some 5-10 minutes stress is gone. If it was very intensive, then write as many joyous things as you can and read them (preferably out loud) with full attention to the feelings of joy in this moments for about 10-20 minutes. Not simply reading, but more re-feeling those happy emotions and feelings. This exercise will teach you how to release stress in the future just by thinking about JOY and relaxation. Your body will remember the relaxed state much better and will be able to "reconstruct" it by connecting the feeling to a word 💖✨
And of course reconnecting with nature and staying in the present moment is always a great method to reduce stress. Just it's not always possible to get out of the city. Although reconnection with mother Earth is very replenishing in the city too - just get to some park or green environment. Or imagine yourself being in nature and rooting to the center of the planet 🤗💖
